Mellifera is the Latin word for, “Honey bearing” or “Bringing sweet things to life". It is borrowed from the Roman queen of honey bees, the goddess Mellona, who inspired terms of endearment like, "honey" and "sweetie", from the Latin eponym, Melleus.

As a company, Mellifera is built on the idea of bringing extraordinary people together from around the world and helping each other thrive. Our vision is to foster human interdependence regardless of country or ethnicity, empowering people to improve their situation and live healthier, happier lives. Mellifera is more than the name of our company, it is the ideology of nature. The idea was born over a decade ago as the founder strolled through his orchard, musing on the symbiotic relationship between honey bees and fruit trees; envisioning a global community that no longer takes advantage of need but thrives on mutually meeting each other’s needs. Today we have come a long way making that vision a reality and proudly connect the farmers and makers we represent with people like you.

Our Facility

Mellifera is not a drop-shipping company, we do not remotely warehouse products, and we do not sell through Amazon. Everything we carry is stored in our climate controlled facility designed to optimize fulfillment times and keep products clean.
